NTFGH is a partner site for NUHS Rheumatology Senior Residency Programme where Rheumatology senior residents are posted to NTFGH for 2 months as per specialty programme requirement. During their rotation in NTFGH, senior residents will be assigned to 2 general rheumatology clinics per week. They will also be roster for inpatient rheumatology consultation where they will have ample opportunity to evaluate and management patients with rheumatological conditions under close supervision by a faculty member.
Protected teaching time will be available to senior residents. This will take the form of attendance at rheumatology peer review sessions, case discussions, mortality and morbidity meetings and discussions of individual cases seen by the senior residents. Allowance will also be made for senior residents to continue their existing clinic in NUH and attend NUH rheumatology grand ward rounds, NUH case discussions and core programme teaching while rotating in NTFGH.
This rotation will provide opportunity to senior residents to broaden their experience and be exposed to a wide variety of patients and clinicians outside of their sponsoring institution.
