NTFGH's Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgery service covers most aspects of NUHS' Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgery Residency Programme. We target for R3/R4 residents to rotate through JurongHealth Campus for two to six months. Residents are to learn the essential skills to ensure patient safety while aiming to achieve optimal patient outcomes. During this period, residents will cover the syllabus for Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgery, including facial trauma management, lower limb soft tissue reconstruction, chest trauma management and reconstruction, abdominal wall reconstruction, skin cancer management, breast reconstruction, burns management, scar revision, fat grafting and laser therapy.
Our in-house programme covers weekly tutorials as well as direct supervision during surgery and clinical management. We work closely with NUHS' Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgery and have combined weekly Morbidity & Mortality Audit as well as journal clubs. Our aim is to provide a seamless training programme complementing that of NUHS.
Full details can be found on the NUHS main programme website.
