NTFGH & JCH is a key participating site for 23 specialty programmes under the NUHS Residency programme and 1 specialty programme under the NHG Residency programme. The Internal Medicine residency programme and Orthopaedic Surgery residency programme were the first two programmes to be offered here in 2012 under NUHS as the sponsoring institution and the General Surgery residency programme subsequently came on-board a year later.

NTFGH is also an accredited training institution for the National Postgraduate Year 1 (PGY1) Training Programme. During this transition year, newly graduated doctors PGY1s undergo a comprehensively structured programme to prepare them for Full Medical Registration. The holistic learning experience enables them to cultivate clinical knowledge and skills that empower them to be competent doctors. They may rotate through the Medicine, General Surgery, or Orthopaedic Surgery departments for numerous opportunities to be exposed to sub-specialties within each department.

These are specialty programmes offered at NTFGH & JCH. Training is provided by a dedicated faculty with curriculums that complement the experience at NUHS to develop future-ready, values-based healthcare professionals who shape medicine of the future.
