NTFGH's Ear, Nose & Throat (ENT) - Head & Neck Surgery consultants are trained in the various sub-specialties of ENT, including head and neck oncology, rhinology & allergy, otology, laryngology and voice disorders, sleep-related disorders, etc. The department is a key partner of the NUHS Otolaryngology Residency Programme.
All NUHS Otolaryngology residents rotate through NTFGH twice during their five-year training programme: six months during the R3 year and six months during the R5 year. During their rotations, residents receive all-rounded supervision in their clinical training, such as close supervision during surgery in the operating theatre and guidance in clinics to perform proper clinical assessments of patients and simple procedures. They are also involved in weekly departmental teaching programmes, such as journal clubs, tumour boards and other teaching tools that may be employed from time to time. Our goal is to ensure that residents are firmly grounded in the basics of otolaryngology, to boost progress in their professional training thereafter.
More details can be found on the NUHS main programme website.
