The Clinical Education Office (CLEO) was set up in 2013 to coordinate and manage pre-employment clinical training as stipulated by the Ministry of Health. The office manages students from the various education institutions, both locally and overseas rotated to rotated to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital and Jurong Community Hospital for their clinical studies.
Pre-employment clinical training (PECT) is a critical component in the healthcare professional training programmes offered by the local Post-Secondary Education Institutes (PSEIs). Through the teaching/supervision by senior healthcare professionals in the clinical training institutions, students acquire and practise the requisite clinical skills to work competently and safely as healthcare professionals.
