The Palliative Medicine service in JurongHealth Campus provides care to patients with advanced cancer or terminal illness, including those arising from non-cancer conditions. The service covers both inpatient and outpatient care with a focus on symptom management and end of life care. Supportive care and palliative medicine is appropriate at any age and at any stage in a serious illness, and it can be provided along with curative treatment. The service provides a holistic care approach via the multidisciplinary team that encompasses psychological, emotional and spiritual support.

Services

We provide the following types of palliative services

Consultative Service - The palliative team supports the hospital specialist teams in the wards upon request. The team provides advice, guidance and care to those who have illness with a short term prognosis
Shared Care Service - The palliative team partners the doctor in charge of the patient to provide ongoing care for the patient and family in the ward, clinic & community settings.
