The Rheumatology service is run by a team of doctors that provides both inpatient and outpatient patient care with a holistic approach. The service specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases affecting the musculoskeletal system. Our patients receive holistic care from a multidisciplinary team comprising physiotherapists, occupational therapists and radiologists.

Conditions diagnosed and managed by the Rheumatology service include the following.

Degenerative joint diseases eg. osteoarthritis
Crystal induced arthropathy eg. gout
Osteoporosis
Soft tissue rheumatism
Rheumatoid arthritis
Seronegative spondyloarthritides eg. ankylosing spondylitis, and psoriatic arthritis
Auto-immune disease and connective tissue disease including systemic lupus erythematous, systemic sclerosis, vasculitis, and inflammatory myositis
