Neurology

Neurology provides inpatient and outpatient specialty services encompassing a range of common neurological diseases. The service caters to both private and subsidized patients. This includes an acute referral service and a Neurology Diagnostic Laboratory. Neurological investigations available include Electroencephalography, Electromyography, Nerve Conduction Studies and Evoked Potential Response. Patients requiring Single-fiber Electromyography (SFEMG) will be referred to NUH. Computerized Tomography (CT) scan, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and Ultrasound carotids investigations are readily obtainable. Cases of sleep disorders, Neuro-oncology, Neuropsychology, Neurophysiology, Intraoperative Monitoring and Neurosurgery are referred to other relevant departments and hospitals. Complex Neurology cases are referred to NUH.
