Rehabilitation Medicine

2024/04/29

Rehabilitation Medicine provides inpatient rehabilitation services for adults with physical disabilities and / or cognitive impairment following stroke, spinal cord injury, brain injury, trauma, limb amputation. Rehabilitation Medicine provides a multidisciplinary and integrative approach in developing individualized rehabilitation plans for patients, with the primary aim of restoring meaningful function for the individual.

Services are being offered in the inpatient setting as a consult service to departments in NTFGH, as well as an inpatient service in NTFGH.

As the scope of treatment of conditions amenable to Rehabilitation may vary widely, the service is provided in close collaboration with NUH. Inter-hospital inpatient transfers from NTFGH to NUH Rehabilitation Centre may be required for patients requiring intensive therapy using advanced rehabilitation therapeutics.
