Geriatric Medicine provides both inpatient and outpatient specialist care for the elderly aged 75 and above. We receive referrals from intra-hospital departments, polyclinics and general practitioners. Self-referrals may also be made through our outpatient clinics as private referrals.
The elderly often experience functional and psychosocial impairment, along with multiple chronic diseases. Hence, our team will provide a comprehensive geriatric assessment of our patients and adopt a multi-disciplinary approach in the management of their conditions. The care team consists of doctors, nurses and Allied Health Professionals, including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, dietitians, pharmacists, podiatrists and medical social workers where necessary.

Each specialist assessment takes approximately an hour. Patients will first see a nurse for an initial interview before a detailed assessment by one of our doctors.
On the day of your first appointment, please arrive punctually and bring along the following items:
