Communication and swallowing difficulties can impact a person’s ability and confidence when socialising and participating in daily activities. Our Speech Therapists provide assessment, diagnosis, and management of speech, language as well as voice and swallowing disorders. Our services are available to patients aged 12 and above.

Services

We provide the following Speech Therapy services:

Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) (Only available at NTFGH)
Group communication therapy (Only available at JCH)
Paediatric clinic for articulation and fluency only (Only available at NTFGH)
Speech and language assessment and management
Swallowing and communication management of patients with tracheostomy tubes
Swallowing assessment and management
Videofluoroscopic Swallowing Study (VFS) (Only available at NTFGH)
Voice assessment and management (Only available at NTFGH)

Specialised services such as Videofluroscopic Swallowing Study (VFSS) and Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) can be arranged for JCH patients offsite.
