Biosketch

Dr Benjamin Tay is an Associate Consultant in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital. He graduated with distinction from NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine in 2015, then seamlessly completed fellowship training under NUHS where was valedictorian of the 2023 exiting specialists cohort. 

He has special interest in advanced endoscopy, including Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography and Endoscopic Ultrasound. He is also well versed in general gastroenterology and hepatology, having exited with highest academic distinction and was awarded best trainee in 2023. 

Beyond his clinical endeavors, Dr Tay is dedicated to mentoring aspiring undergraduates and junior clinicians. He is also actively involved in formulation of international guidelines and treatment benchmarks, while championing quality improvement and patient care delivery back at home.
