Dr Pradeep Durai graduated from Madras Medical College, Chennai in 2010 and received his surgical degree from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2012. He completed Urology Residency Program under National University Health System (NUHS) in 2019 and received specialist accreditation from Ministry of Health, Singapore and fellowship from the Academy of Medicine, Singapore. He is also a member of the Chapter of Urologists, College of Surgeons, Singapore.
Dr Pradeep was awarded the College of Surgeons Gold Medal for Urology from the Academy of Medicine Singapore in 2019. He was also the top scorer in Urology fellowship examination of Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (RCPSG) held at KL, Malaysia in 2019 and received his fellowship from RCPSG.
Dr Pradeep joined Division of Urology as Associate Consultant at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital (NTFGH) in 2019. His specialty interests are in Urologic oncology and Endo-urology with special focus on minimally invasive surgery for kidney cancers, kidney stones and benign prostate hyperplasia (BPH). He had specialty training in NTFGH in Holmium enucleation of prostate (HoLEP) for BPH.
Committed to education, Dr Pradeep is a clinical lecturer with the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS. He is currently in charge of postgraduate education in the division of Urology and actively teaches next generation of Urologists. He has published multiple research articles in peer-reviewed journals and in book chapters. He has also received grants in translational research.
Beyond Urology, Dr Pradeep has interests in medical art and his medical art is published in various peer reviewed journals and National University Hospital website.
