Dr Nydia Camelia graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2009. She went on to obtain her Membership of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the United Kingdom (MRCP) and Master of Medicine (M.Med) in Internal Medicine from NUS in 2013. She underwent specialist training in Geriatric Medicine with the National University Health Systems (NUHS) Senior Residency Programme and was accredited as a specialist in 2018. Dr Nydia is a fellow with the Fellows of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore (FAMS), Chapter of Geriatricians.
Dr Nydia served as the Geriatric Lead for the Geriatric Oncology LongituDinal End to eNd programme (GOLDEN) in Ng Teng Fong General Hospital (NTFGH) from 2020 to 2023. She has obtained her certification in the Advanced Course in Geriatric Oncology from the International Society of Geriatric Oncology (SIOG) in 2022. She has contributed to several peer-reviewed articles in Geriatric Oncology which were published in international journals. She is also a co-recipient of the BJ Kennedy Award for Best Poster in SIOG 2022 for her work in the field of Geriatric Oncology. She is a member of the International Society of Geriatric Oncology (SIOG).
Currently, Dr Nydia practises as a Consultant in the Department of Geriatric Medicine at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital where she also runs a weekly Geriatric Oncology Clinic.
