Continuing Medical Education (CME) Primary Network - Mental Health General Practitioners Training: Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is a debilitating condition listed among the top three most common psychiatric disorders in Singapore, according to a 2018 mental health study. It is particularly prevalent among younger Singaporeans (18-34 years of age). The afflicted individual usually exhibits repetitive behaviours which may vary in the extent of impulsivity versus compulsivity and interfere with his/her daily life.
This session aims to provide GPs and healthcare professionals with insights and practical suggestions for managing OCD, which exerts an economic and quality-of-life toll on the affected person, as well as society.
