Biosketch

Dr Vanda Ho is an Associate Consultant geriatrician. 

Dr Vanda graduated from the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom with a degree of MB BChir. She attained her postgraduate qualification from the Royal College of Physicians, United Kingdom. She completed her Internal Medicine Residency and Geriatric Medicine Senior Residency in the National University Hospital, and is a Fellow of the College of Physicians, Academy of Medicine (Singapore). 

Dr Vanda has a special interest in research to improve health in older adults. Her research spans from bench, to bedside and onto public health, with a strong focus on translational research and longevity science. She presents her research work regularly at local and overseas conferences and has clinched competitive grant funding to pursue her research interests and has published in peer-reviewed journals (https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Vanda-Ho-2). She previously served in the hospital’s residency research committee and graduated from the residency research track. Her current research focus is immunosenescence, the study into the ageing immune system. Through this focus, she aims to explore ways to extend the healthy years older adults are able to enjoy. Pursuing this at a deeper level, Dr Vanda is currently reading a part-time Masters of Clinical Investigation at the National University of Singapore (NUS) with a competitive research scholarship from the National Medical Research Council.

Apart from clinical and research work, Dr Vanda has a keen interest in education. She is a Clinical Faculty Tutor at the National University Singapore and participates in undergraduate teaching. She is also involved in community work, having volunteered at St Joseph’s Home, NUS’ Project Lokun Cambodia and local public health screening programmes.
