"Handmade Heartmade" is a community sewing art project facilitated by Singaporean artist, Catherine Chong in 2019. Over a span of six months, participants from all walks of life, from sewing enthusiasts to students, staff, individuals and even seniors with dementia, came together to create over 700 unique, colourful and interactive sensory mats for persons with dementia. Hear the heart-warming stories behind these masterpieces of love as we share the making of our largest-scaled community art project to date. “Handmade Heartmade” is a community art project under Arts&Health by JurongHealth Campus Programme, supported by JurongHealth Fund.
